Hydraulic and Hydro-Power Engineering


The undergraduate program of hydraulic and hydropower engineering offers Bachelor degrees with duration of 4 years. The training objective is to cultivate social needs and comprehensive development. It has a solid foundation in natural sciences and humanities, and has strong foreign language, computer application ability and independent learning ability. Training, with both preliminary scientific research ability and teaching ability, high-level engineering and technical talents with broad knowledge, strong ability, high quality and innovative spirit, can engage in hydraulic engineering survey, planning, design, construction, management, scientific research, teaching, etc.



Agricultural Water Conservancy Engineering


The educational objectives of Agriculture Water Conservancy Engineering program is to enable the student to get the basic training of engineer, to achieve the ability of primary scientific research and teaching, to become engineering technician with broad knowledge, strong capability, high quality and creative spirit, to be qualified for the jobs of hydraulic planning, survey, design, construction, management, research and teaching in the area of water conservancy and hydropower, agriculture water conservancy, water and soil conservation and flood control. The core courses of this program include, EngineeringSurveying, Engineering Hydrology&Hydraulic Calculation, Theoretical Mechanics, Material Mechanics, Structure Mechanics, Hydraulics, Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering, Reinforced Concrete Structures in Hydraulic Engineering, Soil and Crop, Engineering Hydrology&Hydraulic Calculation, Irrigation&Drainage, Hydraulic Structures, Pump and Pumping Station, Construction and Management of Water Conservancy Project, Budget estimate (budget) making for Project, Water Resource Engineering Economy.




Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering


The educational objectives of Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering program is to enable the student to obtain solid foundation in the field of natural science and humanities, to develop skill of computer utility and self-study, to acquire the basic training of engineer and teamwork, to become engineering technician with broad knowledge, strong capability, high quality and creative spirit, to master theoretical knowledge and basic skill of hydrology, water environment and hydroecology, to be qualified for the jobs of survey, evaluation, planning and design, hydrological forecasting and management, research and teaching in the area of water conservancy, water affairs, power, urban construction, agriculture and forestry, environmental protection, land and resources and education. The core courses of this program include, Physical geography, Meteorology and Climatology, Hydraulics, Principle of hydrology, Water information collection and processing, Hydrological statistics, Hydrological Analysis and Water Conservancy Computation, Hydrological forecasting, water resources planning and utilization, Water environment protection, Water conservancy economy, Water quality monitoring and analysis, Water resources, Automatic system of hydrological data acquisition and transmission, Groundwater hydrology, System analysis of water resources, Water pollution control engineering.




Port, Waterway and Coast Engineering


The undergraduate program of port, waterway and coast engineering offers Bachelor degrees with duration of 4 years. As an extension and extension of Yangzhou University's water conservancy major, in 2012, the undergraduate port, waterway and coast engineering major was established. The major makes full use of Yangzhou University's achievements in the field of water conservancy engineering, and has initially formed the characteristics of this specialty: relying on hydraulic and hydro-power engineering, based on the construction of water conservancy and water transport projects in the coastal areas of Jiangsu Plain, cultivated specialized personnel featuring navigation buildings, inland rivers and coastal areas in the plain area, and wharfs, channel dredging and remediation, and coastal cofferdam development projects.
