Based on the theory of water resources system analysis and regional socio-economic planning theory, this direction studies the theory and methods of regional water resources development and utilization comprehensive planning, regional water resources system optimization planning and operation management. To study the precise regulation and management technology of soil water and fertilizer in the field, the non-full water and fertilizer coupling technology of rice, the complete set of nitrogen and phosphorus ecological interception technology for farmland runoff, and the water use safety recycling technology of farmland.

Research area in hydraulic structure optimization design and engineering hydraulics

The most economic optimization model of arch dam under static and dynamic loads, the safest optimization model and the multi-objective optimization model considering safety and economy are studied. The method of evaluating and analyzing the safety, durability and functional hazard of hydraulic concrete structures is studied. The algorithm of non-constant flow in large river network and the law of water flow in the river and front pool of pumping station drainage are studied.
